The Cove Beach residence is located on the Sargeant Bay along the Sunshine Coast of BC. This custom single family 5 bedroom house with an ancillary one bedroom beach house is located on the idyllic shoreline of Sargeant Bay. Perched on the bedrock of this descending site into the water, the contemporary roof lines of the split butterfly roof mimics the angles of the topography. The small one bedroom beach house floats above the water line with views directly over the water and the sea life along the coast. The design of both buildings works with the natural forms of the bedrock which informed the massing and passageways between the natural land form and built form.
